When he was talking to the big girl did he say at one point that if she went on his bootcamp she could "Throw a paddy'' in the middle of the field and it wouldn't matter as no one was there to hear? Im assuming "Throw a paddy meant throw a wobbly as in get angry, have a strop etc.. I was just coming into the tv room when I thought I heard this. Surely jeremy kyle wouldn't use a racist and obnoxious term like this? That would've been career suicide and would have been edited out right? Does anyone know whether he said this or something similar?

Nothing racist about it...........
errrm, its a term alot of people use?

Infact I tell my 5 year old off for having one on occasions.

I hardly think this will be a case of "career suicide".
Why does everyone immediately assume that everything is racist? As far as I'm aware 'throwing a paddy' relates to the behaviour of people who are put into padded cells.

Termite I really never knew that. Jackthehat, maybe racist was a wrong choice of word.
Boo, but surely not all Irish people are happy with this term?
How is it racist?
It doesn't bother me....
Is 'throwing a paddy' similar to dwarf throwing?
Only if you assume that it has anything *whatsoever* to do with the Irish...........
Which I think it originally did Jack....but who cares? Some still refer to the riot vans as Paddy Wagons...
I've just told you where it comes from. It has nothing to do with the Irish.
^ Because of the large number of Irish (American) Policemen, ummmm, not the nationality of the passengers............;o)
I don't think for one minute that 'paddy' has anything to do with racism. This is aboslute madness bc.
Do you live in Ireland ummmm?
This politically correct nonsense is absolutely pathetic really. The expression 'throwing a paddy' is now considered to be 'filthy language' by those who can't be bothered to investigate its origins. If this stupidity is allowed to continue, we'll end up climbing up our our bottoms.

Well thank you all not only for the correction in my terminology but for educating me also, sometimes you do learn something new everyday.
Didn't know that...I thought it was because we're a bunch of drunks and ended up fighting on a Saturday night :-)

No CAJ...Live in England. Have done since I was little.
