just watched on quest tv rory mcgrath on flying
he got three things wrong
concord was unique in having its wing as "petrol tanks... "petrol??" all jet aircraft use wings a fuel tanks (kerosene)
it was not the only passenger jet to fly at supersonic speed... the Russian tu 144 did too
and it had newly invented secret weapon.. reheat.well the Vulcan bombers used this in the early 60s
does he write his own script ?

As I understand it Concorde had exactly the same engines as Vulcan but without the noice mufflers.
Question Author
no ,Vulcans didn't have noise mufflers believe me they flew low over our house in the 60s sometimes nightly (tiles sometimes slid off)
the concord engine was tested on a Vulcan, it was not the same engine, the makers were the same
Bristol Olympus
They were variants of the same engine - the Olympus.

Vulcan was originally fitted with the first design, the Olympus 100, and was upgraded with updated variants as they were developed, such as the 101, 102, 103, 104, 201 and 301.

The engine was developed further and it was the Olympus 593 that was fitted to Concorde
