It was good, but there was something about last night's episode that made me very uncomfortable. It's weird - all the violence we see on tv these days - far worse depictations of it than whitechapel, but it made me feel squeamish - all that chelsea smile and buttock striping business. When he said that they shove a knife up inside someone's mouth and just "carve" - it made me shudder.

Those Krays were no pussycats, were they?

salla I was a Medical Student in Whtechapel in the 50´s and would drink in the Blind Beggar and the Grave Maurice both frequented by the Krays and yes, they were vicious, but they would only violate other criminals.
I felt safe walking through Hackney, Whitechapel and Bethnal Green in the 50´s, at night, but I wouldn´t do it now.

Our baby sitter married one of the Krays.........nota lota people know that.
