Hi all, the Vampire Diaries started again tonight on ITV2 and it says series 2. Does this mean it is season 2? We watched the first series and thought this was the next but t the start it looks like we have missed some. Thanks.

seasons in the US (22 episodes) series in the UK, always was that way.

Yes, it's the second half of Season 2. The first half was on before Christmas last year then it had a Season break.

You've missed quite a bit so might be worth trying to catch up on the first half before watching the second half.
