How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
How to lose a guy in 10 days is a modern romantic comedy. The film was directed by Donald Petrie and is based on a short cartoon book of the same name by Michele Alexander and Jeannie Long. The two lead roles are ably filled by Kate Hudson (Goldie Hawn’s daughter) and Matthew McConaughey.
The film was a box office hit despite mixed reviews from critics; however, most audiences loved it. The on screen chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey is palpable; their acting is superb. The portrayal of real life romantic situations is inspired and undoubtedly rings true with many viewers.
Some of the stunts Hudson’s character pulls at the start of their relationship are truly hilarious but he just keeps coming back for more. It is a feel good movie and the plot is not complicated but the genuine humour and the eventually sweet relationship between the two lead characters really makes this film one to watch.
Andie (Hudson) is roped into to writing an article of the same name based on the failed romantic experiences of her close friend. Ben (McConaughey) is baited into a bet by two co-workers to get a girl to fall in love with him in 10 days. The two pick each other as their objectives and the magic begins.
