Remember Me

Remember Me is a romantic drama. Based on a screenplay written by Will Fetters the film stars Robert Pattinson (Tyler), Emilie de Ravin (Ally) and Pierce Brosnan (Charles).  The story is one of love and loss and family relationship set against the background of New York pre September 11th 2001.

All the main characters are seriously flawed and damaged people that because they come together (thanks to the angry Tyler) become better people and find their own reasons to truly live life (something none of them have done in years).

Audiences have been generally very appreciative of the film but have been split about the nature of the shocking ending. On the one hand there are those who say it is great to see a non Hollywood happy ending and this is done with taste and is thought provoking.

On the other hand there are those who say the ending is rather gruesome and too shocking a subject to deal with, but that it makes you value your life and those in it as you never know what is around the corner.

The plot is centred on Tyler a young man who like most at that age is confused about his life when he meets a young girl. After realising they have much in common a relationship forms. This relationship allows Tyler to eventually reconnect with his estranged father.
