The Lord Of The Rings Two Towers is a magical action adventure film. This is the second in the trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s book of the same name. Directed by Peter Jackson the film follows the story of what happens to the fellowship of the ring after the group splits up.
The Two Towers had a lot to live up to with the Fellowship of the Ring and it did its job fantastically. Again audiences were amazed by the sweeping landscapes and the depth of the characters. In addition, the CGI fits perfectly into the story and does not distract the viewer. Many diehard fans of the books were very impressed with the film and although some parts have been missed out the general storyline is sound and carries the viewer with the characters on their journey.
The film has three major plotlines interlinked. The first is the start of the journey Frodo and Sam are making into Mordor to destroy the One Ring. The second follows Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli as they enter the war torn nation of Rohan who fight at the battle of Helm’s Deep. The third sees Merry and Pippin escape their capture by the Orcs and meet Treebeard and the Ents who then plan an attack on the compromised Isenguard.
