Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is an action adventure film. This is the sequel to the 2007 film Transformers and was directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. The plot sees the continuation of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons with humans caught in between. Shia LaBeouf stars as Sam Witwicky the Autobots' human friend.

As with many action adventure films audiences were mightily impressed by the CGI and special effects but were not so happy about the thin plot and apparently dubious acting. In addition, many fans of the original comic books series were disappointed by the seemingly superfluous and poorly thought out changes to the story. That said, however, the majority found the film enjoyable and one of those where you disengage your brain before the start.

The Fallen is an ancient transformer bent on revenge against the Autobots and Earth for his imprisonment. Sam is sent on an expedition to find the Matrix of Leadership which can revive Optimus who has been killed during a fight with Megatron.  The final battle at the end of the film is set in Egypt around the pyramids where the Matrix has been hidden. The Autobots and the military fight the Decepticons for control of the Matrix and the Sun Harvester (a machine that can take power from suns).
