Can anyone give me an indication please as to why a Halogen Headlamp Bulb keeps blowing. All the wiring to the headlamp appears okay and it doesn't blow a fuse it just goes a white smokey look on the inside.
At £7.99 a time it is getting a bit expensive and i have replaced it twice in the last 6 months

Thanks in advance.

Cheap bulbs.
Vibration.
Over-voltage at alternator (more than 15v) which is voltage reg. problem.

One of those!
dodgy gear
lol
I had an Astra years ago that was getting through more bulbs than you could shake a stick at. Eventually it cabbaged the battery through overcharging (a bit like a main dealer) and it was only when the AA checked the charging voltage that the penny dropped.
