Well, in terms of vintage, if not totals, I think I can claim the crown. Here goes:
1. 1933 Morris Minor 8hp. Scrapped due to dry rot in the bodywork.
2. 1936 Rover 14hp. Free wheel. Couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
3. 1954 Austin A40 Somerset. Lovely solid car in its day.
4. 1958 Ford Consul. Bench seats. Lovely love-buggy .
5. 1966 Renault 1100. Light, trendy, rusty.
6. 1972 Renault 16 TL. Comfortable, lovely drive. Very rusty.
7. 1975 Simca 1100. Also rusty.
8. Chrysler Alpine. Worst car ever. Everything broke.
9. Ford Fiesta.
10.Austin Metro. Great runner.
11.Ford Sierra ' Jelly Mould'
12. Ford Sierra.
13. 2000 Mondeo Mk2. Very reliable. Still got it.
14. 2001 Polo. Still got it. Reliable.
I'm not joking about the dry rot in the '33 Morris Minor. Got stopped by plod in 1956 who asked why the door were sagging and when I said ' It's dry rot' his reply was, ' Funny bugger, eh ?' and took out his book and pencil. Saw the funny side later, though.
Cheers.
