Paintwork Warranty

I bought an 18 month old car approx 4 weeks ago from a local Fiat dealership. When I came to wash it I noticed about 2" of paint chipped off under the offside front wheelarch (this is perilously close to the front of the car and it looks like more could come loose)

I contacted the garage to ask if they could rectify this under their warranty, or if it would be covered by Fiat warranty. I took the car in for inspection on Saturday 4th August they said it looked like stone damage and probably would not be covered under warranty, but they might be able to "touch it up" but the manager wasn't available to ask.

They advised they would give me a call back on Monday 6th. I waited until Friday, no call back, so I rang them and was told someone would call me back. Again no call back. I feel like I am being fobbed off!

Surely this must be covered under warranty? Can anyone help please?
