mine is a 2004 Toyota Yaris and the ABS light on the dashboard has started to remain on most of the time. I don't want a costly repair if its not necessary and I seem to get conflicting replies if I put it on Google. Should I ignore it,( I am not sure if this model even has GBS).

No, you should not ignore it and get it sorted asap. No need to go to a Main Dealer though, just a competent garage that read the fault codes. Ignoring warning lights may prove fatal.

You will have to get it sorted anyway before it fails the MOT on an ABS warning light on.

thanks alice, i'll book it in straight away
If you leave the light on it will fail it's next MOT.
Doh, didn't see you had a reply, SlackAlice is correct.

What is GBS?
Whenever the ABS light is on, the ABS on the car is deactivated.
