Whilst on holiday last week in Cornwall I saw an American police car. The grill badge was a stylised M similar to the one used in the company name Mopar.
Any idea what make it was.

Any idea of the age of the car ?.
Question Author
Probably no more than 10 years old, 15 at the most
Could it have been an 'Infiniti' ?
Question Author
no, the grill badge is totally different
sigma, I would take a guess at it being a Dodge, a popular make of car with the American police.
I will bet it was a Mercury Marauder and so not a genuine Police vehicle. Giving the age you think it may have been it would have the same body/chassis/engine as the Ford Crown Victoria which was the number 1 Cop car until production in Canada ended a couple of years ago. A genuine Police spec Crown Victoria is easy to identify if you get close enough to read the VIN tag through the windscreen. It has the number P71 included in the 17 digit number. I have imported genuine Police cars into the U.K. which I used in film work and they have to be accurate..... A "dressed" Mercury Marauder would be spotted a mile away if it appeared in any film.
