I have a ford Ka. And recently when driving, (especially on Hills), the revs go really high, without any power to the engine, so I have to toggle the clutch and accelerator to get the power back.

Any Ideas anyone on what this is, and roughly how much it would take to fix.

Regards

It could be that it needs adjusting although it could just be worn out or it could have oil on it. Either of the last 2 possibilities will need a new clutch plate and the last one will need attention to the oil seal on the crankshaft at the same time as the clutch is replaced.
Quick google about looks like people are paying £250-300

It'll depend where you live and where you go a bit
