Vandalised Valve
12 Answers
Some little c*** has pulled the inner part of a valve out of one of my back tyres.
Is this common practice? It seems a bit more pre-meditated than simply letting a tyre down, they would have had to have used a pair of needle-nosed pliers to do this.
More to the point, is it repairable? the tyre in question is relatively new.
Cheers.

Which is probably what you will need to replace your valve.

Further to my last post you can buy a special tool for removiing valve cores if you can't manage with a pair of needle-nose pliers:

As a second point, next time you have a tyre replaced ask for the old valve back just to give you a spare core.

Post script:
As advised, I found a kit that contained several new valve cores, a tool and new dust caps. The new core screwed in perfectly thus reinforcing my belief that this was the work of a tool equipped disgruntled "road owner" who believes that the road outside his house belongs to him. Next time I park there I'll make sure the w4nker is caught on camera.
