Ford Transit Connect Red Warning Light
12 Answers
Hi,
I have a 60plate ford transit connect. A red circle light as appeared on the dashboard. Other forum saying something to with immobiliser but the engine starts fine. When the engine running, if you open the van door the lights turns to yellow, but then close the door and it turns back to red! Can't find the answer on ford forum! What is this light??

Powertrain Warning
Powertrain Dashboard Warning LIGHT
This dashboard symbol may illuminate red or yellow / amber on the Ford Transit / Connect. A cog with an exclamation mark inside indicates a malfunction with the powertrain, a sensor or software fault. A malfunction with the powertrain may see the vehicle lose a certain amount of power, but will continue to run. If light flashes whilst driving, avoid heavy acceleration or deceleration and gently reduce speed. Symbol may illuminate with the engine warning light MIL -(see below). If both lights illuminate together, a continual reduction in power is likely, possibly followed by the turning off. Have vehicle checked by a Ford technician immediately.
