What's a tickle changer?

///Have you tried starting it in 2nd gear with your foot down on the clutch (obviousy!)?///

How does that work then when, Quote, It's as dead as a Dodo?
When I tie you up and make demands to stop tickling you Togo !
Question Author
Can anyone recommend a trickle charger?
Question Author
Togo, I had to look back to make sure that I hadn't written 'tickle changer'!
Hello Tilly!
I think we're harking back to the days before fuel injection and real electronics, Baldric.
Halfords own brand tickle changer are OK and quite reasonable.

When the battery is dead, nothing works does it? Key fob, handbrake, nowt!
Question Author
Thanks, Minty and Shoota.
Haha .....new batteries for the "tickle changer" then . :))
Question Author
I think I'll try Halfords and put on a dotty lady hat. Then one of the nice lads there will show me what to do .
Question Author
I'm going to go in and ask for a tickle changer and see what the reaction is. :-)
Question Author
..that and the hat should do it...
If I remember right, they do a trickle only charger for about £20 and a bigger machine that will charge up a flat battery and then switch to trickle mode for a tenner or so more.
hi tilly i'd just get a brand new battery put in
Question Author
Andy the AA man said I should be able to get one for £20-£30 so that's a good recommendation Shoota. Thanks.
