Detailing.
4 Answers
Please can someone point out the intricacies of detailing? I want to give my car bodywork a 'lift' without going mad and not too expensively. I've watched a few videos on YouTube but they seem to be for the cognoscenti or the uber keenies. They mention things that sound like a 'putty rubber' etc. Is there a book I could buy? I've got a DA polisher which I inherited and would like to start but I have no idea! Any advice gratefully received!! Bramley.

Adding 'beginner' to a Google search (or to a Youtube one) might help you. e.g. search for 'detailing car beginner', rather than just 'detailing car'. Doing so seems to find loads of relevant links, such as this one: https://www. cleancartalk .co.uk/car-d etailing-for -beginners/ and videos like this one:

PS: I have to admit that the word 'detailing', in the sense that you've used it, is entirely new to me.
I've never really seen much point in washing cars at all. Even if I won the National Lottery and bought a half-million pound supercar, it would only get washed by the guys on the Tesco car park once every few months.
As far as I'm concerned, life's far too short to waste time on washing cars!
