corsa cd player problem!!1

i have just brought a brand new cd player for my car and i tried just pluging the to wire holder things togther, when i turn my ignition on the clock comes on for around 1 second then it dies????

im a girl so answers explaned well plz

Try asking an Auto Electrician, its like a electrician for your home, but on vehicles instead. You should get a good explination then. Gary
