Hi

Have a Pug 306 which is 12 yrs old but in great condition (bought for �400). Head gasket gone and head could be cracked. Should I spend �500 - �1000 repairing it as i has 8 mths MOT or invest that cash in a new car?

Not worth spending that sort of money on an old car.

NO, it's scrap time, do not be sentimental with a load of metal.
get a newer car with more features and not requiring repairs, unless it is your hobbly of course.
