i guess as long as it has no sharp edges it shouldnot fail but speak to a local mot station as only the front windows are under scrutiny but i not an mot er they will tell you sraight
No it's not a failure- in the testing manual only the windscreen gets a specific mention (driver's view of the road) no other window is subject to testing.
This is the reason why you can have a car with very dark tints pass an MOT, yet still be nicked for having them- a traffic cop may be of the opinion that you can't see properly through them, but as they arn't tested they can't fail.
norm i thought you were right but as mr rusty said its only the front screen that matters and that was the reason i was asking because i had heard that from other people and i wasnt certain of what was right or wrong an example i was given was a open backed jeep say has only got a windscreen so it cant fail an mot if it has no other windows in it.
