W Reg Vauxhall Corsa Problems

Between 2000 & 3000 revs and in second and third gear there is a rattle coming from the engine bay its sounds fine and runs smoothly when in neutral and it doesnt sound like its a piston problem any suggestions to what it might be???

The early Corsas had a problem with the clamp that held the catalytic converter to the engine block breaking and causing a bad rattle when revving. Check the exhaust at the front of the engine, could also be a loose heatshield on the exhaust.
