best to phone the dealer mate thats what i do as there the best ones to know and check the history of your car has it full? when was it last done? has the cam belt been changed ? check everything inc the discs and pads and tyres better to know all beforehand to knock off a few quid than to face repair bill after youve just bought it.
The service interval is every 10,000 miles for all petrol and diesel models of the S40.
The cambelt should also be changed every 80k miles or eight years.
If the seller hasn't had it done, or can't give you proof that it's done knock 250 (approx cost of a new belt fitted) off the price of the car.
