anyone any ideas? the car when starting from cold runs really lumpy and pops a little, but after warming up runs fine, i have had the automatic choke valve changed to no avail!

My fathers car does a similar trick. From stone cold it stalls/runs rough and the red injector light comes on . Local garage want to replace the injector and throttle housing, but the parts cost more than the car is worth so he lives with it.
