my little herald is in mum and dads garage, has been ever since they bought if for me as a project when i was 17 (a fair few years again)
One day itll be on the road, although i have a feeling dad will claim it as hes spent thousands on doing it up and bought me a fiat panda not long after as i was moaning about not being able to drive lol.
Dad had the chance to buy an old e'type about 15 years ago, but the owner wanted 1500 for it and my dad decided not to. what on earth was he thinking!?
will see what i can find in the way of pics next time im at theirs.

About 7K these days
I drive a '64 MGB - it's an every day car and I've commuted in it day in day out for the last 10 years.
Depreciation's been pretty much zero and the insurance is ridiculously low, and of course there's no road tax to pay. With the increased upkeep I reckon I'm about even against running a modern car.
Tell your dad to buy not to buy an alpine but a Tiger. Basically an Alpine with a V8 engine:

The guy I bought my B from was selling one and I very nearly had my head turned!
