Which hot hatch?

I`m looking for a `hot hatch` but unsure what to get.
i`m considering the Astra vxr,Civic type r,Golf gti or Focus st.
Anyone have any experience of any of these cars or can recommend something similar?

golf is best all rounder but expensive , focus good value, reno megane most hardcore, mazda 3 mps rare and discreet and most power
personally i'd go for sub impreza cheap , powerful and 4wd thrown in for free
