My girlfriend was caught speeding in my car. She has fully comprehensive insurance on her car but no insurance on my car.She has no previous convictions and co-operated with the police since she was caught. Does anyone know what the standard punishment is for this type of offense?

unless I'm mistaken, she is covered third party on your insurance and is therefore legally allowed to drive the car.

The punishment depends on how fast she was going, where it was and if she was driving dangerously.

Do you know the offence code that she was issued with?
K
p.s. please note that I'm not legally qualified and this is information is only from past experience of myself and / or friends.
You have got to tell us if your girlfriends insurance allows her to drive a car not belonging to her, was she also charged with having no insurance?
not all fully comp policies allow you to drive other cars.
