How long is a piece of string? There are so many variables. I'd be more interested in how much fuel is left in the tank.

If you fill up when the light comes on, then subtract that amount from the tank capacity, you'll have a rough idea how much was left.

On my car I worked it out. When the light came on I filled the tank right up , noted how many litres I put in then found out the tank's capacity in the handbook. Subtract one figure from the other that's how many litres you will have till the tank is dry. Now you will need to know (or work out ) the mpg of your car. You can now find the range of the car once the light comes on.
