I having problems with my car it is a Vauxhall corsa automatic (1998). When I start it in the car in the morning, it starts fine. But as soon I try to move off it's like the car doesn't want to move. It moves off very very slowly and then continues to go really slowly and no matter how much you press the accelerator the car doesn't pick up speed. After a while, say 5 minutes or so, it picks up speed and then drives normally. I know there is something wrong with it but not sure what.

this might be a silly question but i'm not good with cars - check which fluid level?
That's not a silly question raz, - the fluid level..?!
Is your handbrake releasing correctly?
Question Author
the handbrake is fine - its just the initial start up.
check the fluid /oil level in the automatic gearbox, it should be at the correct level when cold and it should be a crimson colour.
I would hazard a guess at your fuel pump/filter/line...

How do i check the transmission fluid? where is it located?
There will be a seperate dipstick similar to the one you check your engine oil with - look under the bonnet, it should be fairly obvious to spot.
