The toxic fume filter system warning light has just started flashing and now the car drives lumpy and sluggish. The handbook says contact a Renault dealer immediately. Does anyone know what this might mean and is it likely to be costly to repair? I've only had the car for 2 months and bought it used with 30k on the clock, it now has 32k on the clock.

My guess would be coil packs they are about 40 new from the dealers and take about 10 mins to change
Please heed this! I had a 52 plate 2 years ago. Cost 6.5k and 1 year later after 1000 worth of electrical repairs I sold it for 3.5k. The car had 18,000 miles on it. It was ridiculous and Renault didn't want to know. Learnt afterwards that they are beset by electrical gremlins so do yourself a favour - get rid of it quickly or you might regret it. But then again you might be lucky and have got a decent Megane...
