You need them for working on most cars, buy a cheap set from Halfords, the correct size will be there.

Thanks for those speedy answers. Chas, yes, Im sure they are, or at least, they look likeTorx, they are not ordinary bolts. The heads are round, with an internal star shaped recess to accept a bit. And Tourman, thanks, I already have a set, its just that these are much bigger than any others on the car, or in my set. I was hoping to be able to purchase a single one, if I could find out what size it was.

Chris, just had another look at your diagram. The bolts holding the caliper in picture two, when it rotates up out of the way to remove the pads, are normal bolts. In the picture you can see that this leaves another part secured to the hub, you dont need to move this to replace the pads, but it must come off to replace the disc.
would of thought if you went to decent accessory shop they would know the exact one, to be honest ive changed pads on my 206 , but cant remember which tool !! must be my age, mine will be going on a ramp shortly (exhaust fell off !!) will try and find out for you..

Thanks Chas, (and sorry for calling you 'Chris' earlier!), just to be clear, its not the pads im changing, removing them is a doddle, its the discs, this requires the removal of the whole caliper.
did cross my mind, from what i remember it pivots on the pins (torx)

wahey....sussed it, T55 torx, just tried a bit on my car..
