engine cuts out when i stop
cheers 4 ur advise another problem started 2day when i stop engine cuts out it starts straight away after . rev counter slowly moves up down when i first start it cn any1 help

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.hi mate it seems like it could either be you IDV (idle control valve) which could be dirty or faulty most garages wil clean it for next to nothing as its a common problems. any chance it is a pre facelift ford focus???.. it could also be you MAF sensor which helps the engine level off the amount of fuel and air and if that is playing up it could bethe reason your car is playing up as it could be running too thin (too much air not enougth petrol) or visa versa and running too rich.....try those 2 sugestions as they are quick fixes ;) and if its not these dont fix it then im sure someone else on here can help you out ;0
Hi, this is exactly what happend to my car. Its something to do with the setting on your rev counter. I took mine to the garage and they set it up for me - no more problems.
I wasn't so lucky mine cut out at the front of a set of traffic lights and couldn't get the darn thing started again - needless to say no one could get past me and I caused major hold ups........ oooops.
