Can I mend my broken VW Golf Key?

Hi There,

I have just bought a VW Golf and both keys are missing the metal attachment that enables me to put it on to a keyring. Does anybody have a diy method to mend this? So I can put it on my set of house keys. As I know I'm going to lose the key!!!

I know its been a while since u posted ur problem but if u was to get a washer, looks like a ring then weld that to the blade of ur key then attach to urhouse keys
