Best way to change Top Suspension Mounts - Ford Ka

Hi, Need to replace the top suspension mounts on a Ford Ka this weekend, What is the best way, any tips? Do I need to compress the springs before removing suspension leg? etc Many Thanks

the springs need to be compressed after the legs have been removed, nothing too dificult about these just hope for good weather

the springs dont need to come off the as the mounting just sit on top of the strut, you can actually get away with just jacking the car up remove the wheel and then remove the nut that attatches the strut onto the inner wing, then use a lever to lever the suspension down and thi should give you enough clearance to just remove the old mounting and isert the ne wone
