to keep or to sell...
I have a 6 year old Alfa 147 and I love it but its value has sunk (as all cars do) and I can't decide whether to keep it or look for a new one. there's nothing wrong with it, but if anything should go wrong it'll be expensive, and then I'll be stuffed! I can't decide whether to part-exchange while it's running well. I know selling privately would be financially better, but that's too much hassle for me.
and I don't have a pot of money to just pop out and get a new one, btw!
any advice?

The Alfa was electrical faults, there were lights that wouldnt come on and some which wouldnt go off. I had to take out fuses at night for the lights to go off, then put them back in before work and screw the panel up again, was a nightmare. The comfiest car ive ever had tho and it went like sh!t off a shovel.

hi sara,
It all depends on what you want. Alfa that's sexy, terrific styling but expensive and unreliable or something that is not quite as sexy but very reliable. I bet Weeal will testify that the Toyota is as solid as a rock on reliability. Would you not consider a Rav4? I think now is the time to change they will rip your right arm off for a deal now. The only problem you will obviously get a better trade-in with the Alfa dealer than any other. How do Saab grab you?
