I bought a Tom Tom One 4 or 5 years ago on recommendation of a friend. My daughter was living in London (uni student) and I provided transport for her many times over that period. The Tom Tom was fantastic taking me through London and I cannot praise it enough. It is not expensive as Sat Navs go, it is simple to use and reliable. Good at avoiding jams as well.

Thanks Sandmaster....They're 79.99 in Morrisons,so I thought I might get one. There is some around for 40 but I think better the devil most know !
I like my Garmin
The Tom-Tom One is a sensible choice for UK driving and will get you where you want to go with clear instructions. I would type it into some comparison sites first as Amazon isn't always the cheapest site. Try Kelkoo, Pricechecker and Pricerunner. Also, Halfords seem to offer good deals on Sat Navs quite often so keep an eye on their website too.
Agree with PB Garmins are much better.
Before I bought my Tom Tom I read a report that Garmins loose their signal in parts of London because of the high buildings. This may no longer be the case, of course. But my Tom Tom has never let me down, is reliable and simple to use. Clear screen and sound.
