Gear Stick on Ford KA

The gear stick on my car won't move, its stuck in neutral.

Does anyone know what the problem could be and if it will cost much to fix?

Hi, get a friend to check in the gearbox linkage are of your car, I think you will find one of the links has dropped off. If the Link, it's not that expensive you can do it yourself or a friend to do the job.

That's asuming you have 'a friend' who knows their way round a gearbox!

See if the clutch is operational first

wouldnt matter if the clutch was working or not, you should still be able to go through the gears when the car is switched off without dipping the clutch, rememeber also this car has a rod type gear linkage like the fiestas, maybe as erlier mentioned it has broken off/damaged or the shaft that the rod connects to on the gearbox has seized up
