hello all, i have just bought a renault scenic but i have a ignition coil witch is misfireing, is there a way of finding out witch one it is with out removing them one at a time, thank you any help would be helpfull. thank you and cheers YUKKA.

If it has the 'finger' coils ie one coil per cylinder then you can either unplug the injectors one at a time whilst the engine is running and the one that doesnt slow the engine when its unplugged is the cylinder with the faulty coil or, you can take the bolts out that hold the coils in then with the engine running ease out each coil in turn slightly, maybe a couple of inches or so, a good coil will be cracking violently when lifted a faulty coil wll not
