The central locking on my 3 door 2001 Focus has started playing up. It locks and then immediatly unlocks both doors when I use the fob or try and manually lock the doors using the key in the drivers side. If I manually lock from the passenger side using the key it locks both doors. Also if I lock the passenger door from inside using the internal switch, the drivers door locks and unlocks using the key on the drivers door or pressing fob but leaves the passenger side locked..

Hi
as you enter the tip of the key to the door lock N/ + OFF/S Fire WD40 Into the lock, put some rags on the ground to reap up the excess fluid that will come out then try the locks.

There is usually a microswith built into the latch unit.
You may need a replacement latch unit complete (as electrical part not sold separately) I think this would be for driver's door.

There is a slight chance that the drivers door wiring section is damaged or faulty. Best check connections through this first.
