Hi all, my car, has a habit of accelerating all on its own while idling, at traffic lights ect , it is most off putting and I would appreciate any ideas as to why it does it and how I can rectify it ,

Hi, does the accelerator pedal feel loose? maybe the return spring has come off or failed.

It sounds as if it is drawing in air Flump, check the pipes around the intake.

Get someone to check/replace the TPS sensor, and get the throttle body and butterfly cleaned with carb cleaner spray.
