stud pattern for wheel

I was interested in getting alloys and gave the tyre size (185/60 R15 ) but was asked for the stud pattern of the wheel. Why is this necessary andh how to i get that? Thanks.

Because if the holes in the wheels don't line up with the wheel studs on the car they won't fit!

if you give the make and model of the car to anywhere that sells alloy wheels they should be able to tell you the correct ones to get.
