Airbag problem

A few months ago my daughter bought a 53 reg Fiat punto 1.2. Now the driver & passenger airbag lights are coming on & staying on. Can anybody help.The nearest fiat dealer is about 50 miles away

Check the earth cable for the airbag ECU is fixed securely. It attaches to a point on the left hand door frame and can work lose over time, also check that your daughter hasnt crammed too much into the glove box as this can but pressure on the passenger airbag connector causing a break in the circuit, the connector is mounted directly above the glove box.
