Silly engine size Question :-)
Someone once told me that odd numbers eg. 1300 1500 were more sluggish than even numbers 1400 1600 etc, were they taking the mick? is there much of a difference in a 1500cc vehicle from a 1400cc vehicle performance-wise?

As a general rule, the bigger the engine size, the more power it produces, the faster the car goes.
However, the heavier the car is, the more sluggish it is for a particular engine size.
So it might be possible to find a heavy/large 1500 that is more sluggish than a light/small 1400.
