I need a ford stereo code????

hiya does anyone know how i can get the code for a ford stereo??? I had to have a new clutch fitted in my car over the weekend and ive misplaced the manual for my car :( does anyone know where i can get this please? with thanks :)

Go to a Ford dealer, take proof of ownership for the car and they will supply you the code.

You need the Serial number from the sticker on the back of the radio. That would be a start.

Some of the online sites might be OK but there are two problems with using them. Firstly you need to take the stereo out (which can be a very fiddly job). Secondly if the code you're given doesn't work you might have lost your money. (You'd have the legal right to a refund but you might have a big fight on your hands to actually get it).

Until recently I was working for a Ford main dealer. As long as the stereo was the original one fitted into the car, all they needed was the vehicle registration number. Then they could get the code directly from Ford. The usual price charged (including VAT) was £15 but (for reasons which were unclear to me) some codes only cost a fiver.

thanks for your answers all but i found it on a forum found by google i put my code in and some nice person got back to me with the correct code :) chuffed to bits!!!! i have my music back in me car yay!!!!
