Fiat Marea
Hi
I have recently had problems with the starting of my Fiat Marea, i have changed the battery and put an online non returnable filter on as i thought it was the diesel running back i have been adviced that it is not the pump , but when it gets going the car runs fine.
Any help will be appreciated.

I very much doubt it's the valves if the car runs OK once you get it started.
As I asked before, once it's been run for a while, and the engine warmed up, does it start OK if it has been stopped for only a short time?
If the answer is yes it is almost certainly your glo-plugs.

Have you serviced the car yourself? if so, did you bleed the system right? did you tighten & replace the fuel filter seal? If possible, did you fill the fuel fiter before re-fitting? is there fuel loss to be seen under the car? to find if there is a loss put down some cardboard directly under the fuel filter area you will discover if there is a leak. how & when did this problem start?
Hi
I have already tried the glo plugs 3 or 4 times, would you reccomend replacing these as i havent done this since 2008.
The only way i can describe the sound of the engine when trying to start it is like a dumper truck as its turning over.
I have bled the system through the injectors. I have tested for the fuel loss and there isnt any.
I have been told that this could possibly be the valves does this sound familiar?
Thanks for your help.
