1961 Triumph Tiger Cub

Does anyone here own an old tiger cub?
My husband is rebuilding one and needs to know what size and what thread are the pivot bolts for the centre stand.
We have the original manual and a Haynes one--but they are no help.
I have emailed several people, but had no reply.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Toureman--my husband had a Tiger cub as a teenager--he bought it on HP and didn't go out for months to raise the deposit.
He has always wanted one to restore so I bought him one for Christmas, now that he is semi-retired.
The downside is that I now have bits of bike all over the house! :o)

Hi Barbara,
I can't remember the info you need but i will have a look around tonight to see if i can help. An excellant contact for Tiger cubs is Greystone, who are based in Kent. They have just about every spare part you might need and are good chaps. Try calling them on 01227 861100 (Adrian or Derek), they will probably know the answer straight away.
Good luck

You could do no worse than join the internet Triumph Tiger Cub Club http://www.cubsite.com/Cubs.htm. It is free to join and will help tremendously.
Also, if you need all the nuts and bolts in stainless try Acme Stainless near Lincoln UK. You will find them on the internet as well.
