I've recently bought an old motorcycle which seems to have been stored for years. Problem is I've no idea what it is. I, ve got its reg number which dates it to Liverpool 1957, but no documents. Swansea have no info. Where do I start ?

If you have the registration, I can do you a free HPI check (no, this isn't a con, I work for an insurance co and have access to these things). However, I appreciate that people are often dishonest, and I wouldn't put my registration on here.

The other way I can check is by the VIN number.

come on- put some details here so us old motorcyclists can have a bit of a challenge!! Any badges on the tank? How many cylinders- cylinder layout, two-stroke, four stroke? Suspension front and rear? What sort of suspension?
