Depends what image you're going for. This is a Suzuki SV650. Is this what you're after?

gives you somewhere to park it when you've done riding it thought !!!!

Your best bet is to go to some bike shops and try them on for size so to speak and see what feels most comfortable for you
lol jayne, that was a big crack on the road lol

I dont like Fazers but thats cos theyre sporty bikes, I love custom chops so I cant help Im afraid.
Glad jayne was of some assistance tho - pmsl
i got an sv650s as my first bike 3yrs ago now n im still reluctant to part with it! A superb bike! Fast enough off the line n competes with any bike handling wise, yet not intimidating as the v-twin engine is soooo forgiving. Its a superb bike- cannot recommend it highly enough. I been across Europe on it twice and plan to do so again this summer. Go get one!
If that girl comes off, it's gonna smart a bit.

On a more constructive note, I agree with weeal. Although the Fazer is a good all rounder, I don't think the riding position it at all comfy. The bars are too low and too far forward, a bit like a sports bike.

I had to stretch coz I'm just a pathetic bird, but I think if you're not looking for a full blown sports bike, get something with a relaxed riding position.

Thank you. You've been a wonderful audience.

Goodnight

thanks for all the advice.
i'm also a small bird so perhaps the cruiser type bike is the way to go as i'm not really into sports bikes i'm more for a tourer.
MAN THATS A BIG CRACK, it could swallow you whole!!!
hey, bonsta, way to go.

Although it's a bit high off the ground, have you looked at the Honda Transalp? I rode one, and it made me feel like a Bond Girl, all high up and hair in the wind. I loved it, and the riding position is fab.

And they can carry loads of luggage (important for us birds!).
I like the look of the Vulcan weeal but ...

... it's a bit of a pussy engine, isn't it? :-)
well...she's a small bird

I think its a cool bike tho
if your going to have a low rider have a proper one at least..

Preferred my first suggestion though
now that is one cooooooooool ride
and it has a really wee seat hight :)
yeah - do you have long arms tho bonsta? lol
Stop it, stop it, or I may have to go down to the seafront, gaze at the big bikes, and have a DIY.

(jayne wonders if she can resist going right now!)

Thanks again all!
Some very cool custom rides out there.
The transalp sounds very interesting though its the sort i'd go for and not one i've heard of.
I wonder if there's a 2008 model?
As for the sea front and all the bad ass bikes, not a bad idea might just do that myself at some point blackpool & knott ends only up the road!
Thanks again, it's all very helpful in aiding me to get my first big bike!
proper beast

my apologies to filth
glad you have sense of humor, and can join in the fun.

To make my serious point again, Your best bet is to go to some bike shops and try them on for size so to speak and see what feels most comfortable for you.

I really like the suzuki bandits BTW
