help with moped not working

My son has a Honda x8rx moped which his been using for university, When it gets hot it stops running and will not restart until cold, the sidelight and headlight have now stopped working, Indicators and horn all work o.k.
Please help with any suggestion.

After some googling I found there was a vacuum issue (apparently) I found this:
"... It was the vacuum cable (or hose) that is responsible for the continuous flow of the fuel to the carburettor.
Solution can be to replace new insulation plates for your cylinder and engine."
I'm not sure if that is relevant or not, (hopefully it will be) but I thought i'd let you know anyhow. :-)
