rip n scream childrens quad bike

we bought a childs quad off e bay as a repair job, the reason for sale was it kept revving up on its own and pulling off, after getting it home it will not start, there is not even a spark going to the plug ! it was running when we picked it up, has anybody got any ideas as i know nothing bout these, thanks

if there is no spark at the plug follow it back, is there a spark at the end of the HT lead (pull the lead, lay it close to the engine block and turn it over, is there a spark? if so it's the plug) if it's not that follow the lead back and test the magneto. (google it)
